Retracing
Retracing is a phenomenon that may occur as the healing
process takes place. Many times, before the body can get well,
it must first backtrack to where it started to lose its normal
posture of health. During this backtracking, the body may
experience or exhibit many of the symptoms tor characteristics
it displayed on its way to sickness and dis-ease. This
normal process is call "Retracing".
An Example of Retracing
Every time Bob is near perfume, he breaks out in hives.
When he is away long enough, his body regulates itself and the
hives go away. The next time Bob is around perfume, his body
automatically breaks out in hives again.
As you can see, there is a pattern on Bob's body. Within
Bob's nervous system, stored data is accessed whenever Bob is
around the perfume. When these signs reappear, many people
treat the symptom with outside remedies, never thinking to
remove the data that causes the problem.
For the body to heal, it must travel down the same road it
took to get to its present state of health. During this
healing process, as the body backtracks toward its normal
position of health, retracing may occur.
How Retracing Works
Much like a computer, our brain and nervous system are
wired to remember and store data with associations from the
past and present. these memories may be stored in various
places within your nervous system, but rest assured they can
be accessed. When they are accessed or activated, they can
produce the same symptoms and dis-ease that you
experienced before.
Let's look at Bob's case again. As Bob's body travels down
the road to health, it eliminates specific data it has
retained over the years. Like a computer, to eliminate or
'dump' the data, it must first be accessed, then deleted. When
this data is accessed, it may produce similar symptoms in the
body on its way to being deleted. Experiencing these symptoms
in this manner is call retracing.
When a person retraces, it does not necessarily mean the
person is sick again. It is simply the body's way of
expressing itself in the most expedient way.
